She has volunteered at Mount Olivet, Breck School, the Junior League of Minneapolis, Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, and Edina’s School’s Success program. Kristi’s career has been focused on marketing, advertising, and communications planning with a solid foundation in brand marketing, consumer insight and communications, involvement with emerging trends and new media and measurement. Her emphasis has been on the importance of striking the balance of math and magic in using marketing to grow businesses, motivated by opportunities to make a mark on the industry.

Her experiences span working both client (Target & Clorox) and agency side of marketing with some of the greatest creative agencies, Crispin, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Arnold and with some of the greatest brands including Target, Starbucks, Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Nike, HP, Xbox, Fidelity, TJX, Dunkin Donuts, and eBay. She has also driven enterprise strategic relationships with partners including Google, Disney, and Pinterest, who define the retail and media industry.

Kristi’s passion is HORSES! An avid rider and owner of multiple horses, she has been particularly interested in the role horses play in a human’s healing and growth journey. She was introduced to Hold Your Horses through participation in HYH clinics (Five Roles of the Master Herder and Healing the Herd). Impressed with the work of the horses, staff, and facility, she was looking for ways to support the organization and jumped at the chance to join the HYH Board of Directors.

I grew up in North Dakota and, after moving to Minnesota, graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School with a J.D. summa cum laude. I am admitted to practice law in all Courts of the State of Minnesota, the United States Supreme Court and the federal courts for Minnesota and the 8th Circuit. I have been fortunate to have worked for the same law firm, Henson & Efron, PA, for my entire legal career. I began as the sixth person in a six-person firm, and now am the most senior active attorney in the firm of 33 attorneys. In my career, I have been honored by being selected as one of Minnesota's top 10 Super Lawyers in 2005, 2009-2017 and 2019-2021. I have also been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America from 1995-2022. In 2019 I was honored by being selected as a Minnesota Icon in the practice of law, and am still the first and only family law attorney inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, a group comprising less than 1 % of the attorneys in Minnesota who are the very best at the trial bar.

I have worked with other 50l(c)(3) organizations including the Jade Foundation, University of Minnesota Law School and Edina Morningside Community Church.

I am married and have two adult sons, and two beautiful grandchildren.

Brigid Goss joined our Board of Directors in 2021 and is a member of our Operations Committee. She is a Vice President at U.S. Bank in Risk Management & Compliance, where she works in Regulatory Services, overseeing regulatory exam activity for the Bank. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, she practiced as a litigation attorney with a mid-sized Minneapolis firm and was recognized as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star by Super Lawyers. In addition to serving on the HYH Board, Brigid volunteers with the Children’s Law Center, providing pro bono representation to children in foster care. She also loves spending time at the barn with her off-track thoroughbred, Bailey.

Chad has 2 daughters who are avid equestrians, competing in hunt seat competitions throughout Minnesota and the Midwest.

Cyndee Olauson was initially drawn to Hold Your Horses (HYH) through her lifelong love of horses. She first learned to ride bareback while growing up on a Nebraska farm, and has felt a connection to these amazing creatures ever since. After hearing about HYH’s mission through a friend, Cyndee began volunteering with the organization in 2017. She spent some time in the barn cleaning out stalls, and in 2018 was elected to the Board as Secretary, where she could also contribute her organizational skills and experience from a long career in administrative Dietetics.

Cyndee believes in the healing properties of both horses and outdoor spaces. Horses are in tune with people in a special way and have a way of connecting with each person. She is inspired by the HYH mission and therapeutic goals, as well as Janet Weisberg’s leadership and
vision, and is proud to serve the organization.

Caitlyn Ramberg joined the Board of Directors in October 2020. She serves as the Chair of the Operations Committee and member of the Mental Health and Clinical Task Forces. Prior to joining the Board, Caitlyn volunteered as a horse handler and chore helper since 2019. Caitlyn was drawn to HYH because of their commitment to trauma-responsive services, equine welfare, and leadership in the equine-assisted interventions community.

Caitlyn has her BA in Psychology from St. Catherine University and her MSW from Augsburg College. She has also earned certificates in Equine-Assisted Mental Health from the University of Denver, Trauma Effective Leadership from the University of Minnesota, and in Interdisciplinary Trauma Studies, also from the U of MN. She works as a Senior Social Worker with Hennepin County in Family Group Decision Making and is also a private-practice mental health youth therapist who includes equines and the natural environment.

Caitlyn competed in dressage with her Friesian/Thoroughbred horse, Fantasia, throughout high school and particularly enjoyed creating musical freestyles. She has a 16-year-old daughter who is a leader in her high school theater tech crew, works part-time, and takes PSEO classes. Caitlyn brings her lifelong love for horses, in addition to her experience as a clinician, to HYH in hopes of supporting their long-term vision and goals to support and heal children and families.

Currently, as a Vice President at Wells Fargo Consumer Lending, Ginger oversees strategic risk management and BASEL required assessments. She successfully led the implementation of several new risk management programs aimed at proactive risk management impacting millions of customers.

Ginger holds an MBA from Champlain College; Burlington, Vermont, BS Business Administration from Norwich University; Northfield, Vermont and a Law Enforcement certificate from Metropolitan State University; St. Paul, Minnesota. She has served as a volunteer for Girl Scouts USA, St. Jude Children’s Hospital Fundraisers and the United Way ARISE Project.
