Daily Barn chores

Join us in the mornings at 7:45 a.m. to feed horses, clean stalls and help lead horses to the pasture. Or come out at 4 p.m. to help with evening chores including picking paddocks, leading horses in and feeding. Maybe you want to do night check? At 8-8:45 the horses need a nightly check in.

Please note: Volunteers must 16 years of age of older.

Property work

Like to run a riding mower or do you find weeding or weed whacking a good way to help clear your head?  We have endless green acreage that would welcome you in the summer months. There is no end to the painting, fixing, cleaning and organizing tasks in store for you at the farm and nothing feels as good as the satisfaction of a job that has a beginning middle and end.  In winter, well, the shovels await your kind attention.

Hay Delivery: tossing & Stacking

Help us with regular hay deliveries.  This is extremely strenuous and satisfying work. Comes with bragging rights.

Saturday was an afternoon of saw dust and drills at Hold Your Horses as members of local robotics teams designed and constructed new raised planters for Hold Your Horses. The plots will become sensory gardens for clients across our healing spectrum.

Special Project Work

Maybe you have carpentry skills?  These are oh so useful around the farm. Let us point you to a building or repair project that needs some love and attention.  Your time, your talents, our unending gratitude!

Are you a clean freak?  Come clean horse tack, barn equipment, therapy toys, and even our horses!
