Rachel started at HYH as a therapy aide before returning as a licensed occupational therapist. She completed her masters degree from the University of Minnesota. Her occupational therapy fieldwork in school mental health instilled a strengths-based philosophy and interest in trauma-informed care. She was inspired in part by her Peace Corps service to change careers from journalism to occupational therapy. Rachel is a Twin Cities native and a lifelong animal lover. She is passionate about the healing power of the human-animal connection and the natural farm setting at HYH.
